Animals leave traces. In nature – and within me.

For over 25 years, I have worked as a freelance photojournalist and photographer, with a focus on nature, wildlife, environmental, and sports photography.

I believe a photograph can do more for conservation than a thousand words, because it shows what there is to lose.

Alongside wildlife photography, dog sports photography is a distinct focus of my work – with entirely different demands: fast movement, challenging hall lighting, fractions of a second. I accompany dog-and-handler teams at training sessions and competitions. With my Border Collies Bailey and Caelan and my Schipperkes Louis and Mats, I compete and train in agility myself – as a competitor and trainer.

For my work I rely on Sony Alpha cameras and Sony lenses, a system I have trusted in every situation over the years.

My images appear in international publications and are licensed through agencies such as Alamy, Zoonar, imageBROKER and Adobe Stock.
